Reliance Group believes that a free-market solution along with sound government policies can eradicate the power shortage faced by the country. The Group has thus partnered with a consortium of Nepalese entrepreneurs to promote two run-of-the-river hydropower projects in Nepal: Mistri Khola Hydroelectric Project (MKHP – 42 MW) and Tadi Khola Hydroelectric Project (TKHP – 5 MW). Both these projects were financed without any assistance from the government.
